Göcek is a charming holiday destination located in the Fethiye district of Muğla, offering a natural harbor and safe anchorages for your boat with its natural bays and coves. During the summer months, it is a popular tourist destination with a high number of vacationers. You can spend the night here and enjoy watching the town's dancing lights, explore the area, and easily visit nearby places such as Dalyan, Sarıgerme, and Ölüdeniz, which are easily accessible from Göcek. It's a great way to start your vacation.
At the end of Boynuzbükü Cove, covered with log trees, there is a facility that has a wooden pier with a 20-boat capacity, connected to each other with vaults. There are electricity and water connections available, and the depth of the pier reaches up to 3 meters in the shallow coastal strip. You can also benefit from the water sports center of the facility and see the bays of Gökova from a bird's eye view with parasailing boats.
At the bottom of Hamam Bay, there are ruins of a bathhouse that is said to have been built by a city king who lived on the hills centuries ago. The eastern coastline where gulet boats usually anchor at 20-30 meters is quite deep. The bay, which is one of the stops of the daily tour boats departing from Fethiye and Göcek, is especially crowded during the day.
If you want to stay at Hamam Bay, the best place to anchor is on the west coast, and we recommend that you come outside of 10:30-16:30 hours to avoid the crowds. If you are curious about the view of the king who is said to have lived on the hill, you can climb to the top through a path that passes through olive and pine trees. The sunset on the hill that offers you the open sea and Gökgemile Harbor beneath your feet will be a unique experience.
Yavansu Bay, also known as Seagull Bay due to the seagull statue on its shore, is a windy and exposed bay, and therefore not suitable for anchoring. The white seagull statue, made of stones, appears to be drinking water from the sea, its occasional restaurant, and the hills covered with olive and pine trees promise a unique and different experience from your other stops.
Göbün Cove, the most sheltered cove among the Göcek bays and completely protected from all weather conditions, is suitable for visitation throughout the year. Many yachtsmen spend their winters here, enjoying the peaceful and serene atmosphere of the cove away from the city. The cove has vaults with 40 boat capacity located in front of the restaurant on the opposite side of the entrance and on the pier side of the entrance. We recommend that you proceed with caution, especially in the shallow waters near the restaurant, as the stones of the old pier behind the eastern pier extend up to the front of the wooden pier.
Yaz Limanı, located in the largest of the coves in the Gulf of Göcek, Tersane Koyu, can be reached through a narrow canal in the northwest or by trekking. It is a small and charming local restaurant that offers beautiful natural scenery and the opportunity to see historic fortress ruins on the island. During your walks on the island, you may also come across goats that are being raised by local villagers.
Ağa Limanı is a jumping point where boats heading north and west wait before Kurdoğlu Cape. The harbor is surrounded by remnants from the Roman and Byzantine civilizations, adding a historic atmosphere to the natural beauty. The eastern part of the harbor is quite deep, but you need to be careful of some rocky areas where your anchor may get stuck. If you want to anchor in this cove, the safest area is the beach of Big Bay. Anchoring in front of the beach would be more advantageous, considering the winds coming from the hill. We recommend leaving a long chain line and being careful to leave enough space between the boats while anchoring as the bay can be crowded.
The Yassıca Islands, famous for their magnificent atmosphere available 24 hours a day, consisting of many islands and islets that offer low, high, large, small, deep, and shallow water options. There are many shelter options in the area, and an interesting experience awaits you. We will be waiting for you at our Göcek location, which is the delivery point of your boat at the end of your journey.
