Day 1 Check In: Bodrum – Knidos

The ancient city of Knidos, a city that has hosted many different civilizations throughout history and where the seas meet, promises a historical journey among ancient ruins. Knidos, a haven for sailors, is one of the most beautiful stops where you can enjoy the crystal-clear sea and unique natural beauty.

At Knidos Ancient Harbor, you have the opportunity to stay and connect to electricity and water for a fee. Boats usually anchor at 10-12 meters and stay unmoored in this harbor, which is managed by the Datça District Governorship. You should know that the prevailing wind here is the "meltemi" and the north winds strengthen at night, and the wind conditions cannot be predicted very well. Therefore, we recommend that you take these factors into account when mooring your boat.

Day 2: Knidos -  Datça

After exploring Knidos, you can experience a true tourist experience in Datça. Here, you can have a pleasant evening at many different pubs, bistros, and restaurants that suit your taste buds, or take a pleasant walk on the Datça beach in the early evening or early morning.

There are two different ports on both sides of the peninsula that extends east from Datça. The northern port is a relatively shallow port with a sandy beach. If you want to anchor at the northern harbor, which allows you to stay at anchor at 5-6 meters, you must be sure that the wind and weather conditions are in your favor.

However, Datça's real port is the southern port. Here, there are areas where you can stay during the tide and a long pier where many small and large boats can dock. There is also a beach and a small pond right behind the port. We recommend that you choose the southern port to securely anchor your boat. However, whether you choose the northern or southern port, Datça offers you an unforgettable landscape and natural beauty.

Day 3: Datça –Bencik – Selimiye

When entering Bencik Bay, there is an area that requires your attention. The wreckage of the cape, which is located on your starboard side when turning from the east to Bencik Bay, extends up to about 75 meters. There is a rocky area about 400 meters away from this cape, which is about 1.5 meters deep. The South Cardinal buoy is also located in this shallow area. To enter Bencik Bay safely, you should proceed carefully considering these obstacles.

As you leave the Datça region and head towards the Marmaris region, you can reach the village of Selimiye, one of the small and charming holiday resorts of Marmaris. Selimiye Village offers boat accommodation, markets, and restaurants where you can taste various flavors. In this spacious bay with anchoring places in different areas, the most commonly used anchoring place is the anchoring area at the end of Selimiye Village's long pier.

As you move towards Selimiye Village, which is 350 meters away from Kara Burun, there is a rocky and shallow area that is spread over an area of 40-50 meters, some of which is visible above water. To safely pass this obstacle, you should pass outside the shallow area.

Day 4: Selimiye –Söğüt

Although the northern part of Söğüt Harbor is the most preferred location, you can also anchor in front of the shoreline. Moreover, it is possible to tie your boat to the docks of some restaurants here, where you can also have access to electricity and water. At the same time, you can anchor 10-15 meters away from the shore, but do not forget that the area is exposed to the wind.

Day 5: Söğüt – Palamutbükü

As access by land transportation is partially difficult, this area has remained relatively untouched and has more residential areas compared to other coves on your route. In this cove, which has various facilities where you can taste different flavors at restaurants, find gas and ice at markets, and meet all of your needs, you can also get fresh fruits and vegetables from the local market set up on Sundays.

You can anchor and stay overnight at Palamutbükü by dropping anchor at 6-8 meters; however, you should not forget that there may be a slight sway even on days when there is no wind.

Day 6: Palamutbükü – Mersincik – Kissebükü

Mersincik is the only natural harbor in the region, but it is open to winds. There is a small cove with an east-facing mouth below the harbor cape, which is the most sheltered part of Mersincik. This section, which is particularly crowded in summer and can be difficult to find a place, is very small which is why the maneuverability is limited. If you are going to anchor here, you should position your boat considering the boats that may come after you.

Kissebükü, on the other hand, is a cove located north of Yıldız Island and Karaburun, facing east and south. There is no settlement area in Kissebükü, and along a shoreline of approximately 1 mile, there are many small and charming coves that are sheltered from northern and western winds. We recommend entering Kissebükü from Yıldız Island, as there is a rocky area of about 300 meters in depth when approaching the cove. Although the area is passable, you should not take the risk considering the wind and weather conditions.

Day 7 : Kissebükü - Bodrum - Check Out

The final destination of your peaceful journey that started in Bodrum is again Bodrum. After enjoying the tranquility of the small and charming coves of Kissebükü, we will meet you at the D-Marin Turgutreis point, which is the delivery point of your boat.

We hope to see you on your next trip where you will discover new regions on different routes.
